For Leroy Merlin, a leader in the building supply industry, we designed a dedicated, expansive e-commerce system followed by its mobile version. In addition to sales functions, the platform offers customers a high-quality content section and will serve community building functions in the future. Both systems continue to be developed and expanded.

In short

  • The use of cross-selling and upselling elements, including integration with the QuarticON recommendation engine, enables real-time prediction of customers' shopping preferences.
  • The customer receives access to the brand’s most attractive products straight from the home page, without needing to search for them in the product card or PDF newspaper.

E-commerce and mobile application for a building supply industry leader

We designed the online store in accordance with the highest UX standards.  As part of our cooperation with the building supply industry leader, we also created a mobile version of the website which is a faithful reflection of the full online version of the store, offering a library of tips, articles and films on home improvement as well as interior design and garden decoration.  The mobile service integrates online and offline activities, thanks to such tools as easy identification of the nearest brick and mortar store.

The website is composed of three main parts that form an integral whole: an online store, an advice section and a section “Forum and Your Interiors”. Shoppers can browse, search and compare products from the catalogue. The “Your interiors” section offers rich content that makes it easier for users to select items for interior design and inspires them with advice and visual materials.

Outcomes

  • Optimized shopping path allows the user to conveniently shop in the online store even without registering.
  • The online shop combines three functions in one application: sales, image and social networking.
  • The mobile version includes full functionality of the desktop site and guarantees low data use.
  • The website has been recognized with the Webstar Internet Academy award in the category of Professional Services as well as the main prize for Grand Webstar as the 2013 Site of the Year.
